over India, Pakistan, and abroad is 'Murgh Musallam'. 'Murgh means chicken and Musallam'is
an Urdu word that means complete or Whole. Thus, 'Murgh Musallam' literally
means 'whole chicken'. This is a dish consisting of whole chicken marinated in
ginger garlic paste, filled with boiled eggs and spices like saffron, cinnamon,
cloves, poppy seeds, cardamom, and chili. It is cooked in dry sauce and
garnished with almond and silver leaves.

Ingredients
- 1 Full chicken
- 1 cup ghee
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons ginger paste
- 2 tablespoons garlic paste
- 6 living
- 6 Cardamom
- 2 onions lightly browned.
- 25 grams of almonds
- 25 grams of raisins
- 1 onion ground
- 2 tablespoons red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon
- A pinch of saffron
Instructions
- Wash the chicken thoroughly. In a small bowl, combine yogurt, ginger garlic paste, crushed onion, salt, and red chili powder. Spread this mixture on the chicken and marinate for 2 hours. Fill the chicken with blanched almonds, raisins, boiled egg, and brown onion. Close the chicken tightly and fasten tightly with wire. Heat ghee in a pan on medium/low heat. Put marinated chicken in ghee and fry it for 20 minutes or until it becomes golden brown.
- Remove chicken from the pan & set it aside. Add 6 cloves in the remaining ghee, cardamom, and a little brown onion in the remaining marinade mixture and fry well. Now add fried chicken and a little water and cook on low heat for 40 minutes or until chicken is done. Now add a pinch of saffron in 1 tbsp. Remove to a serving platter and serve with Bakar Khani bread or naan.
