- 500 grams chopped mutton
- 1 pinch of powdered salt
- ½ gram powdered turmeric
- 3 teaspoons lime juice
- 3 cloves of garlic
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- 3 living
- ½ bay leaf
- 3tablespoons soaked poppy seeds
- 1 cup sunflower oil
- ¾ gram cracked yogurt
- ½ teaspoon red chili powder
- Ginger ½ inch
- 1 chopped onion
- 1/4inch cinnamon
- 4 green cardamoms
- Salt as needed

Clean the Mutton
Mutton Korma is a delicious mutton
preparation, which can be prepared at home using the ingredients readily
available in your kitchen. Here's how you can make this delicious treat. Wash
the mutton pieces in lukewarm water and remove. Now put the mutton pieces in a
deep pan with 1/2 to 1 cup of water and a little salt. Bring to boil & slow
the heat. Now make a paste by blending the soaked poppy seeds.
Dry and fry the spices.
Boil until the meat is 60% cooked and when
it is done turn off the fire. Take a pan and let all the ingredients dry for a
few minutes. Transfer the roasted spices to a mixer grinder and grind finely.
Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan on medium heat. Add the crushed spice paste
and add a little water and fry. Put the cooked mutton pieces in the pan and fry
till well coated. Add salt and mix well. Now add yogurt and water along with
poppy seed paste and stir well.
Cook the mutton slowly and serve hot!
Reduce heat & cover the pan with a lid.
If you want to make it spicier, add some pepper powder, it will enhance the
flavor and add a nice dark color to the dish. Let the dish cook for 30 to 45
minutes or until the meat is tender. Turn off the heat and transfer the mutton
recipe to a serving dish. Garnish the mutton curry recipe with ginger,
coriander leaves, and lime juice. Serve hot with bread or rice.
Tips
To reduce the cooking time, you can boil
the mutton and use it for cooking. Also, if you want to give this dish a
delicious taste and aroma, you can add dried spices to the gravy. Replace ordinary
oil with ghee to enhance the taste of the dish.
